Solder Question

I'm getting ready to solder the shaft and ferrel, what is the best solder to use, acid, rosin, or solid core? Also what make up of tin andf lead is best? I'v been trying to find a product called Stay Brite, cant seem to find it yet in our area, anyone know if the large Home Improvement chains handle it? VK

Solder

If you use regular lead solder, it may or may not hold. Lead solder is prety soft and not very strong.
You will want to use silver solder. It is made up of tin and silver.
It comes in flux cored and regular.
If you can not find it locally, there are plenty of places to order it on line.
