easy qusetion, how do you install a watercooling system for a rc boat, tools needed, and parts

Not an easy answer.... is it nitro or electric? You will need a pickupeither in the rudder, or a tube mounted on the transom. You will need tubing, silicon works great for me. You will also need to drill holes in the hull for the pickup tube and the exit tube. And then....like I first asked, what are you water cooling. If it is electric, you will need to get the jakcets for your motor and your ESC if you are going fast electric and want to cool down your ESC with water. If it is nitro, the engine has inlet/outlet nipples on the cylinder head. Then you may need to get a coil to water cool the header.

Here is my SV 27 nitro setup....the blue tubes arefor watercooling. It has a transom mounted pickup tube as well. The water exits on the side.

ell it has jackets and stuff, its electric. but can i get pickups and place them under the boat?

what i was thinking was put the pick ups under the boat, and the outlets on the sides

You can put them on the transom and maybe curve the tube to go under the boat. Do you have a pic?

I reccomend putting a pickup tube on the transom....the back of the boat.The tube will be in the water slighty....and the forward motion of the boat will cause the water to be forced thru the tubing. Some companies have a curved tube that goes under the boat via the transom mount, but the standard transom mount will do fine. Let me get my camera ready and I will post pics of my dad's Traxxas Blast...to show you........

This boat originally did not come with water cooling, and Traxxas started to offer kits, and later included them as standard equipment cause the 19T motor would get very hot. This is a brushed setup and not very fast. The ESC is not watercooled either.

There arethree pics.....
The first is the transom mounted pickup tube.
The second is the silicon tube routing in the and the cooling coil on the motor.
Thethird is the side exit.

This is a VERY BASIC setup. Fast Electric brusshless boats usually have a silicon jacket covering the motor and the ESC. Some boats also have pickups in the rudders.

Ok...first off they are out of stock, unless you managed to get one already. And secondly, are you going to cut a hole in the bottomyour hull to fit this thing? If so....water leaks may become another problem.....unless you are savvy at these kind of things or have a friend who is......
