Default Picco Trinity 12 connecting Rod

I am rebuilding a picco trinity .12 engine. I have a question regarding connecting rod orientation. Is there a specific way the con rod should face in the engine. I know with the 3 Nova Rossi engines that I recently refreshed there was a little hole designating the orientation of the rod.

I apologize for not posting pics. I don’t not have enough posts yet. I will add pics as soon as I can.

thanks in advance

One side of the conrod has more of a radius edge where the bushing of the conrod meets the crankweb. The “more” radishes eege faces the crankweb. In my crappy picture it’s kinda hard to see, but this Nova rod has a radius on both sides of the rod; the crankweb side is just radiused a little more. Or rather, chamfered is the word. The hole SHOULD face the crankweb as well, but NOT ALWAYS. Use the chamfered edge as your guide - always. If you put the rod in backwards, it could gall against the crankshaft and cause problems. Hope this helps.

The autocorrect bug bit my last post HARD, and it won’t let me edit it. Grr.

Hopefully you got the idea though.

Photo 1 should face the crankweb/front of the engine.
