Default R/C 10 Nissan King Cab and More....

I am now getting back into R/C Cars and Trucks and picked this stuff up a couple days ago. I know the the R/C 10 is from the very early 90's. The black chassis with the owners manual is a 1989 Nissan king Cab. the black Chassis that is in 2 pieces is a Traxxas Stapede. The other complete Truck is a Traxxas Rustler. Any info on This R/C Stuff would be much appreciated.. Thanks. c.com/2rmtpn4.jpg[/IMG]

rustler, and stampede you can get parts for easy.
seeing the current ones still use the same part basically since they were made
You can goto traxxas.com and find the exploded views of the trucks, and get part #'s from those.
They also have a pile of aftermarket parts

The others I'd be scared to run seeing if they break something you might have a fun time locating parts to repair them.

The king cab new kits on ebay are $700 [X(]
So that sucker might be worth a pretty penny.

Very nice stuff there,
what novak speed controls are on the rustler and rc10 ?
you can go to "team novak" website and see the manuals for them also.
http://www.teamnovak.com/products/price/index.html
just click into discontinued items.

Thanks for the Link on the Novak info. The speed control on the rustler is a Novak Explorer 2 one touch. The one on the RC 10 says Team Novak 410-M5 Hi-Frequency Mega fet Esc Sport Model. Thanks for all the comments everyone...

Alright, so I have to ask, what did you pick up all of that stuff for?

That RC10T is cool!

I doubt the King Cab in it's current form is worth much. If it isn't new in the box, a new build or a box art runner, it won't fetch much.

If that was my stuff:

I wouldn't do anything with the King Cab... You can just put some electronics in it and run it as you wish. Parts are too hard to find if you break something and it isn't a collectible as is.

I would leave the RC10T as a shelf queen tribute to 90s off road racing. It is SUPER cool. Maybe take it out and run it for fun. Parts are hard to find for it- you can't find new parts at any hobby stores for it.

If you can't get the Stampede up and running for less than

Yes I am for sure just going to clean up the RC 10 maybe run it once in ahwile but for the most part it will be a shelf queen. The King cab came with the original wheels and tires and some of the original parts. I am not sure exactly what it is worth But from what I have seen on the bay parts for the truck are not cheap. It appears that the only thing my king cab needs is a body and electronics. The rustler I will probably run and have fun with. The stampede My buddy will probably get he has most of the parts if not all of them to get it up in running.. Thanks for the comments..

Maybe you're right. A good cleanup might get that thing looking good.

Wow, a yellow tub ROAR spec rc10... could be worth some cash to the right person if the paint is not chipping.

The paint on the RC 10 is in Very nice condition. From what I can see there is no paint chipping a Few scratches on the bottom and 1 Tiny chip on the rear. but over all the RC 10 is in pretty outstanding Condition for it's age. I am very Happy with it 4 sure.. Thanks for the comments.

It looks like someone raced it, seeing as how there is some RPM and factory team stuff on there. Personally, I would try to find a white plastic donor car. In stock condition, it could bring $200 or so, which is quite a bit more than what a standard team rc10t would bring.

I Do not quite understand your comment. why would you try to find a donor Car? The RC 10 was definitely set up for racing. It has a lot of RPM Stuff on it. A Novak Speed control. A Losi Spur gear. I plan on just cleaning the Truck up. Leave it as it is maybe find a clean original body for it and put it on display on the shelf. I may run it once in awhile but if I do. I will not run it to hard.

He meant you should get it in stock condition if you wanted to sell it so you would get more money for it.

Seeing you want to shelf it, and are happy with how it is it don't matter

LOL, is that a Losi viscous slipper on there? Haven't seem one of those for a while.

It is Definitely a Team Losi Spur gear. I am not sure what model it is, but have been told that it is a super rare spur gear. I was also told if I ever needed another 1 good luck in finding it. That they are almost impossible to find.

I am loving that Hydra Drive on the RC10, it was no gimmick, that was a kick butt product and was so helpful on dry and dusty tracks. Thanks for posting the pics of the old school stuff, it brings back a lot of memories for me.

The Hydra Drive has what looks king of like a round paddle wheel inside it, it spins in the fluid that you fill the round case with. This allowed for a little less tightness of the slipper, the car would not spin out but accelerated almost like something was pulling it away from you.
