Newbie from PA
Hi everyone my name is Brad and Ijust dug out my old truck from when I was a kid,I think it's from around 1993 or so. It's a traxxas hawk2 ,I got it for christmas and loved this thing. What I need is help getting up and running again for my son,I need battery, charger and if I remember a servo. So where is the best place to get parts for these old things? Thanks Happy new year.

a car from the year of my birth wow,
for something like that parts will be hard to find but batteries, chargers and servos are universal, check websites like www.amainhobbies.com and www.towerhobbies.com and ebay of course, can get some good deals on there but obviously be careful

Yeah it has been a long time but the thing I want now is a nitro gas truck 4x4. I am from south central PA Devils Reject. I know I am probably the old man in here at 31 but hey I grew up with this stuff, used to race that truck at the local tracks.

Hey if it's something you like and makes you happy what the heck :-) . Well glad to know I am not the old guy j/k LD ,I can't wait to dust this thing off and get it going again. I remember putting a walkman in this thing with speakers and driving it around playing old 90's music,I would hide in my development and drive it up to people with music blaring like 2livecrew or something like that and they would be looking around for who's controlling it haha. What memories,so to see it going again would be awsome.

RE: Newbie from PA
Welcome back to the hobby. I'm 39 and just recently pulled out my 1984 Tamiya Frog from a box sitting in my basement, which I built when I was 13. I've spent the last month restoring it for my 7 YO daughter, and she's been having fun learning how to drive it. Needless to say, I've spent a lot of time on eBay and at Towerhobbies.com...

I am 51 I got you all beat age wise. I have over 22 rc's almost all nitro excecpt for my Baja 5b. Still new and in box and never run. I have no problem calling them toys, I pay all my bills on time every month and only have my car loan, only 56 payments left!!!! Low interest though and great deal to boot.
I am 50 mile slightly northwest pgh. Someday I'll be buying brushless electric but just not ready to pull that trigger yet!
