DOT 4 brake fluid is just about the only stuff that will remove it without ruining the lexan. Use a paint brush and coat the inside. It will start to bubble up after a half an hour or so. It takes some elbow grease.

THis guy uses Dot 3 brake fluid, not Dot 4. I don't know if there is a difference. It really looks like a pain in the butt, I know I'd probably just get a new body over trying to repaint one. I once painted the outside of a body and it worked fine with a clear coat over the top but it scratches off really easy and doesn't look nearly as good as if you were to paint the inside.

if you value your time and peace of mind AT ALL, i wouldn't bother removing the paint. i tried it once. and never again. i'd just buy a new, clear body. but is it doable? yeah.

dot 3 eats lexan and makes it foggy.

the last body i painted, the paint was bad, it ate the lexan and then shrunk to leave pockets of foggy, unpainted parts on the body[&o] i was so angry.

It is easier to buy a new body, I tried that on a old Kyosho Landmax body and it made it brittle and foggy, then it curled at the ends. It was horrible.

But then again I tried it on a HPI Audi body with great success, and I still have that body today, I believe its that some quality of the lexan are different than others, but how can you tell which ones will and will not be destroyed?

If it's the factory color body, haven't seen much to remove the color, it's blended in.
But a couple of time before I bought a used painted body and removed the paint with a mix.
The pactra brush cleaner/remover mixed with rubbing alcohol. Depending on the paint, 1 part cleaner to 3 part alcohol. Test on small part first but it always less cleaner, more alcohol in the mix. Too much cleaner brittles the plastic.

But to save time and headache, another vote to buy a new clear body

Yes. You don't remove the paint because it's easy, you remove it so you can repaint a rare or hard to find body.

If its the stock body no way in hell you are getting that off. I think that is silk screened on before it is put in the mold, and is baked in.
Hence why the body will generally be destroyed prior to the paint chipping or peeling
