So I just got a new charger and charged my Nimh pack fior my buggy when all of a sudden it starts making this type of like ratching noise. Took it some what apart and called Associated but they were no help since warranty expired. I thinkproblem might have been caused by charging battery too fast possibly but any way only have one battery thought I'd post my situation before I have my local hobby shop take a look at it and have fork over all kinds of cash. Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

its making a ratcheting noise? can you see anything rubbing? Does it still drive just fine? Are your dogbones lining up fine? I talked to someone at the track yesterday that had a brand new RTR diff go bad after 3 runs. If its not one of those things I would guess the transmission/slipper.
Oh one last thing, have you changed to hex type wheels yet? If not, it may be the drive pin in the wheels skipping out of the holes. Check all those things, and see if you come up with anything.

My Feedback: (3)

Weird noises like that can be cause by many different things, such as:
debris in the drive train
bent axles
loose ball diff
damaged gears
improper gear mesh (which probably damaged your spur)
binding front bearings (wheel nut is too tight)
mis-aligned slipper pads
