My first Savage Injury
In preparation for tomorrow's maidenbashing session with our Savage X 4.6, I decided to take it out for an evening run in our neighborhood (it's first realrun of any kind) .
I learned fast that these MTs don't handle anything like buggies (my favorite class)do.WOW! It'sobviously askill just tokeep this thing upright.Anyway, I rolled it about seven times (good warm-up for tomorrow).
During this,it suffered its first broken part. The antenna tube. Ha!! I've broken what seems like every imaginable part on my buggues....but this is a first for me. A little electric tape and it's fine now. I do like the tube to help with getting the shell on....plus I love to go long range.

RE: My first Savage Injury
If you have the non-2.4 , put the tube inside the body and let it hang out the back of the opening in the body for the engine.
I used a battery vent tube for a lawn tractor as protection, using the stock location, and learned to just tuck it in the shell instead.

use a 2.4ghz radio and don't even put a tube on it. I just have mine poking up a little from the radio box and slap the body over it to protect it.
You came out light I sheered my entire antenna off in flips when I used AM
Also to make it handle a bit better remove all the pre-loads from the shocks
