Default Kyosho salute

Hey guys, first time posting on forums. Well I want to start by saying I just picked up a vintage Kyosho salute (same chassis as the optima, but ugly body) in the blue box. Yes it is built, condition on chassis is about a 8.5/9 out of 10. Body is mint and unpainted (body, wing & driver) all are a bit dusty but that's nothing. I was just wondering if anyone knows the value of it (blue box model). I paid $200.00 any one think I over paid? Or was I to good deal?

Thanks guys

I'd say maybe around 600 for a built roller? You got a good deal!

That's nice. Looks just like a turbo optima chassis. Has it been run at all?

Yes it's been ran before, but not hard.

Been trying to look for one NIB. I had one back in '87. Felt bad when I had to sell mine back then. Arguably one of the best chain driven 4wd's of it's day, along with those yokomos. And excellent engineering from the drive train to the suspension.
