What have you done to your RC today?
#451

kicked it old school today, ran my brushed RC10T3. gave the new ramp a test. much easier to hit, no more sliding off sideways. probably should have filmed it, thinking of making an RC bashing youtube channel where i just make poorly edited running videos of my now mostly vintage fleet. and they've recently run all the homeless people out of a couple of my bash spots so as long as i watch out for leftover needles it's safe to go there again

Save yer vintage stuff man..
theres slash rollers and scts all over for a couple of hundred.
for hardcore bashing..nothing beats an Outcast though. Frirnd of mine launches his off his second story sll the time..think he had to replace a suspension orm once when it bounced off his brick bbq before landing 🤣🤣🤣

iv got some newer stuff. Savage XS, SC10, uhhh... probably should get another one... been eyeing the 4s Outcast for a while now. just haven't pulled the trigger cause i have to many cars as is, and im a cheapskate. i don't do anything to crazy anymore, but when i do it's very calculated and therefore low risk.
iv also thought about going 1/8 buggy but those are WAY to expensive these days.

A guy in Germany makes some killer basher chassis plates for em, as well as bumpers, spools, etc out of 7075 alloy.
Find the FB group called Oktay's Bumper. He has a US distributor.
his bumpers plus the plate armor the chassis front to rear.

im not hucking my stuff off the garage roof anymore, or hitting the skate park so a stock (or close to stock) Outcast would no doubt work just fine for me. i even though about picking up a Granite for a while

Anything Arrma is tough as nails..even the vendettas, infractions, limitless.
If anything, they are over engineered.
weak point on tbe 3s/4s blx's is the center driveshaft and slipper pad..
Hot racing makes a decent alloy shaft, and the HR slipper pad fixes the slipper for ten bucks.
Kaniz RC makes Carbon Fiber center shafts for speed junkies like me.
beyond that..Some occasionally come wirh little to no oil in the shocks..30w is ARRMA standard..My vendetta rear diff didn't have fluid from the factory..just a little dab of grease on the internals..not a hard tune. Beyond those mi or things, no other changes 75 mph bone stock on a Zee 80c 5200...one pass ended on a hard tumble..no damage to the chassis..some scrapes on the body.
Its now being upgraded to handle an mmx8s and a TP Power 2200 kv. Lol

One in the vendetta will go wear fast. Hot racing has a 4s rated pad, direct replacement for the blx's solves that issue. The Arrma is darn near tissue paper thin new and goes out if adjustment fast.
On it, not sure about the other blx's, the adjustment nut is plastic, which contributes to the problem..
HRs pad helps a bunch..but doesn't wholly eliminate the issue. Permanent solution is a slipoer eliminator and a good center shaft.
Oktay's bumper slipper eliminator will also accomodate an Island hobby 3 bolt, mod 1, steel spur gear.
Hot racing makes a slipper eliminstor as well, but its a softer alloy, and, I'm told, bends pretty easy.
Oktay's is 7075 like the rest if what he makes..I also know of a titanium 1 made by someone else that will be out before too long.
I have Oktay's on the way with his motor mount plate as well, and a 37 tooth mod 1 island hobby coming too.
