I have a team associated pro sc truck that C rating recommendation is 35c, This truck can run stock on 2s or 3s. My question is: can i run a 3s with less then 35c rating ?

I was thinking to myself, maybe i could run a 3s with 25c rating..

It depends what the milliamp rate is and how much power the set-up can draw.
For example if you currently run a 3s 3000mah 35C pack you could run a 3s 5000mah 20C pack with equal results.

Assuming you are running the stock 550-SL 3500kV motor, I believe that motor will pull about 55 amps maximum. Lot of factors to factor in. How you drive, what you drive on/in....If it were me, I'd factor in about 20% more amperage for my battery needs. That just because I don't fully trust discharge "C" ratings from batteries. A good 3S 25C pack will have no problems supplying power. Traxxas has been doing it forever.

As flyinwalenda explained, you need to provide further information to reach an informed decision. Does the manufacturer recommend 35C on a 3S pack or a 2S pack?
RustyUs provided some great technical information.
