please let me know your thoughts? I think it is the best bang for the buck for a high power with IR meter. It is $170 from tower. Any other recommendation would be appreciated.

There are lots of great chargers out there to chose from. Just gotta narrow down some of the features you want. I am glad you said something about internal resistance readings, because I'm now a firm believer in detecting the health of a pack. IR readings makes it so much easier to see.

2 x 700W ? Phweew! That's an impressive spec, if true. Oh, but maybe I'm misreading that, and it's 700W total. Still, very impressive, and with the internal resistance measurement capability, $170 is a good price. My dual output charger only does 120W per side and cost me $135. The Hitec is doing 350W / side? Dat's beefy! 😮

Just to put things in perspective, a 6S 5000mAh LiPo pack charged at 1C rate, you'll need a minimum of 126 watts. The HiTec X2 700 will easily do a 5C charge rate on a 6S 5000mAh pack (630w = 25.2v x 25A)...would I do it? Probably not. Would a purchased 6S pack even be rated that high? I don't know.

Some of my 2S LiPo packs are said to be rated for a maximum 10C charge rate. I rarely charge anything over 1C rates .

A person can never have too much charging power IMO. A person not having enough power is always a let down. Plan for how "big" you think you want to go in the hobby, and always use the power safely.

That's awesome! But if you are deciding between the two, I'd pick the Hitec over the other one. Mainly because I've never heard of the other brand, and I know Hitec make great products. Just my 2¢.

Revolectrix is a good name, I do have some knowledge on them. They're lipos are widely used in the high end RC boating community and well regarded.

Electrolux is a whole different ball game.

I have hobbystar lipos that state they can be charged at a 2c rate. I have 4,500 and 6,500 6s packs.

Revolectrix is a well known name, they make some of the best chargers. I also ordered a GT 1000 duo. However, I doubt very many "car guys" use them, mainly because most are into 10th and 8th scale, where you don't use very big batteries. I'm currently getting into EDF jets. A lot take one 6s 5000 mah battery, a lot take two. Some run on 12s, some on 14s etc. A flight will be 3-4 minutes, so field charging is great. With 2000 watts total, you can parallel charge many packs at once. Very useful to have the 2000 total watts. It's on sale for $135. No power supply of course, but that's a really good deal. Pretty customisable settings and IR measurement.
