The Traxass trucks use an EZStart, the Savage uses a rotostart.

If you tell us what truck you're using, we can tell you more

If it's one of the above, try searching on those names...

Ya know, I've just insulted the poor Tmaxx manufacturers without even realising it...

I'm leaving it in unless a mod would prefer otherwise - I think it's destiny :P

Ahhhhhhh, RS4 3...

Looking at the pics I can find of it, it looks like it MIGHT be able to take a rotostart...

Try getting in touch with HPI and see what they say

Assuming the one way bearing is up to it, and you've got a clear line of sight from the back of the car to where the "sticky out bit" is on your pullstarter case I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work...

Try dropping them a line (via email, their forums or calling them on Monday)

Good luck

There's actually not a lot of space round the back of a savage to use such a device, to be honest. You're probably better off with the rotostart.

Also, you don't need to carry around a portable drill to start your car with the rotostart :P

Hold on. You've not got a savage.

D-OH!

Still, check how much space there is between the back of your car and the VERY centre of your backplate (those rods latch straight onto your spindle I believe) before you purchase

Ya know, I honestly thing that wouldn't work on the savage. The engine's buried too deep inside of the beast

Would've come in handy to try today though - my one way bearing died on me

So, as a side note, if you're getting the rotostart to go with the savage marat - MAKE SURE you get a spare one way bearing - you won't regret it!

Ya didn't have to pull that one out bud - it would've been relevant for some cars still :P

Just not the savage - although this thread isn't discussing JUST that car

Not sure if it'd work with the HPI RS4 3 (the other car marat has....)
