rebuild old buggy
years ago i built a kyosho turbo ultima. went thru a divorce and apparently x did not like my car. ripped all wires out. is it rebuildable. if so what would you recommend.

re-wiring a car should be fairly easy, though if they were cut at the case opening then you might have break it open and re-solder fresh wires on the internal board... if your soldering skills aren't up to par then it might be easier to replace the electronics at that point.

the options to consider out there are endless, I'm sure you can probably find a better deal, but for peace of mind, I would recommend HobbyWing for the ESC and then you can cut corners everywhere else:
ESC: HW EZRun Max10
Motor: HobbyStar 3560-3300KV --> this is a mild brushless motor which is better suited for dated buggy designs before powerful brushless systems were introduced
Battery: HobbyStar 2S-30C-5.2Ah --> not 100% sure if this battery will fit, double check battery tray measurements first!
Servo: Which servo is right for me?--> I would get the JX PDI-4409 if it were me, also buy a spare just in case you strip any gears.
Charger: Which charger is the best? --> iCharger X6 or S6, these are best balance between price/performance/quality you can get
Radio: Which surface radio system is the best? --> I would get the Hobby Porter HP-007, most features for the price!
Note that I went cheap where possible, but chose quality where it counts
Good Luck!

If you want to get a combo deal then yes this one here would be good:
https://www.hobbywingdirect.com/coll...nt=27757683857
"COMBO-A MAX10-3652SL-3300KV"
It will have more torque than the motor I recommended originally, so be sure to program the ESC from LEVEL 5 punch default to level 1 punch (lowest) setting and also adjust your throttle expo to -25% to help soften the throttle so you'll be less likely to tear up the drive train.
