Recently came across and old redcat twister xrg. Been looking up as much info on parts and troubleshooting as it’s pretty rusty and runs rough. Then it occurred to me that the Traxxas rustler looks identical. Anyone know if these parts would be interchangeable or not?

That thing looks like a hybrid of Team Associated T4, Thunder Tiger Phoenix, Losi XXT and something else combined and sold as a Redcat Racing Twister. The steering rack, servo saver, front bulkhead, top plate, arms, shock towers, steering/caster blocks, rear hub carriers, slipper, servo arm, chassis u-brace, and servo mounts scream RC10T4 at me. Download the manuals and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I believe you are right Rusty ! I watched a video of a guy who swapped out some of the front end with TA parts ( buggy version ) .
My Buggy has a HPI E-Firestorm diff/gearbox ( 1 screw boss on the case needed to be shortened for the wing mount ) !

Hey I just got my Twister working again also. Its pretty fast. I have the truggy version. Do you know the easiest way to upgrade the rear tires? I dont think these wheels are the standard hex size, but I really dont want to do any complicated mods, just want to put a better tire on. Thanks for any info.

You should be able to put a clamping hex adaptor on the rear axle.
A good medium compound tire with large lugs...
Pro-Line 2.2 Trencher

Or, Pro-Line's Gladiator if you can find them (discontinued).

Rusty thanks so much I will take a look at that clamping adapter. Looks like a perfect solution! Also I did look at the trencher but the only thing is that I was hoping to just get a tire and wheel already glued and ready to go. If I have i glue I guess I can just reuse my existing rim. But not sure the trencher tire will fit, my rim is like 2.35 inches in diameter.
