New Member,
I am building a custom RC car using a Redcat Caldera xb 10e chassis. All electronics are brand new.
Brushless motor and ESC (4370KV).
I am using a metal 17T pinion (from a wltoys 12428) but now I am trying to figure out what spur gear to use. Would a 64T spur gear work fine?
I think the gear ratio would be 3.8...is that too high for the motor?
My goal is speed here but I don't want to kill my motor ?
Much appreciated!

Picture is from the info I filled in Speed Calculator for other Redcat Caldera 10E platform. I just used buggy tire size.
Speed Calculator... HERE
To figure out the internal gear ratio you need diff ring gear tooth count, and diff input pinion gear tooth count.
