sort of off topic here, but, you seem to be a regular and obviously own an ofna PBS correct? I just got an ultra MBX Pro(I'm aware that it's made by HN and is a different buggy than the PBS) but I have a reoccuring problem. The front right(front pass. side) CVA keeps popping off because the Cap Joint/Joint Cap( OFNA uses both names but same part #30082) comes off. I've cleaned everything up and locktighted set screws and it only lasts about a tank and a half and it comes off again. I checked the front diff for play up/down left/right and it's pretty tight and spins nice and free. Just curious if you ( or anybody that reads this) has any insight to this problem. I feel as though I might not be tightening it enough, but I'm putting enough pressure so I'm actually bending hex key. I didn't know if there's something someone may suggest that I might be missing. Also, I've pulled both front/rear Joint Cap/Cap Joint's off and locktighted them 4 tanks of fual ago and this is the only one I'm having a problem with. Thanks for any help.

yes you can race the mbx pro if you want.

i have both the hyper 7 with al the pcr parts and 21 ob1 engine and all that but i have a blast on tracks with my mbx as well with the force 26

last sunday i was even giving a mugen a run for his money. that guy could drive too...

one nice thing about the mbx i notice is i take more chances with it, it cost so much less that i am not as scared to break it . letting me punish it even more then my hyper 7.

one thing i do notice between the two is the shocks, the rod in the ultra mbx pro is actually thicker then the hyper 7 shocks. i have bent hyper 7 shocks but not mbx.

go figure, i have no idea why that is the case.

My brother in law is having the same problem with his PBS with the CVD coming out of the outdrive. After looking it over, it appeared to be a combination of a few things. First is that the two large setscrews that ride on the pivot balls were loose allowing the the front knuckles to move in and out.

Second was the fact that the pivot balls needed to be tightened deeper into the control arm. They were also bent, allowing the CVD to pull out of the outdrive when the suspension is fully compressed.
