Mast and CG on SAIL CARS
Hi guys!
I did some sailing this summer and I'm kind of curious on surface sailing... I've seen a few models and the ones using sails tend to be almost as wide as long (very long rear axle). Where is the CG most times? I know you always need to have weight on your nose to steer, but do you need to put some weight aft or is it good to make it skid all the time?
Where is the mast placed most times (seen from the front wheel): at te 25%, maybe 33%? Well those two questions depend one on each other, so I guess an answer should provide the solution for the other... Just a rough guess.
Sail surface for a given body lenght? Phew too many doubts
Ok thanks in advance!
J.
