We're racing 1/10 electrics, 4wd in a gym that has those plastic tiles for flooring. It's very smooth and cars slide a lot. We've mostly used foam tires, and a few rubber w/ inserts. Is there something better, more like a silicone rubber that would stick better? Maybe automotive belt grip spray on the foam tires?
Thanks!
Thanks!

you may try throwing on the softest compound slick that you can find and then dumping a lot of traction compound on em'. There used to be a place that raced micro RS4's on a similar surface where I live and what we wound up doing was making the lanes a little wider and we just drifted around the track. It was actually really fun once you got the hang of it plus it made for some killer videos.

Spray some WD40 on the the softest compond radial slicks you can find...it will soften them right up to the point that they are almost sticky.

You dont want to use slicks. The reason its slippery is because of dust that is on the floor. Even if you sweep it, it's still there. Last year I raced at a place with a similar floor to what you described. Everybody ran these,[link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXM976&P=7]HPI Rally Tread[/link], nothing else even came close for cars. Though trucks could run 2.2 mini pins, they work well for them.

id say warm up some slicks and its good to go
or you can
get some spray candy. that you can spray some sweet juices into your mouth but spray it on your slicks on a bench and it would turn really sticky

Slicks get dusty and slide everywhere. Warm or not, any amount of dust will make you lose all grip. A pin type tire is the only thing I have seen work.

Hey, thanks for the replies! I think you're right about the dust even if the floor is pretty clean, a soft or sticky tire will just coat up with dust and give even less grip. I'll try the rally/pin tire and see how it goes.

If the floor is swept well try to find a polyurithane tire (much like speed skates use) Im not shure if anyone makes these but if you can find some they would stick the best.
