for some reason i don't trust making purchases on the net, even though i never tried it b4. but i play it safe and drive down to the local hobby shop where i know what im getting.

I get about 90% of my stuff from towerhobbies.com. I just recently found a hobby shop just under an hour away from my home. If I have a couple hours to kill, I've been trying to go there. Tower is easier, But I'd like to support the local business if I could
I've never had a problem with Tower Hobbies though.

Buying on line is good but the problem with that is you have to know what you want or you can get it horribly wrong! It also takes time to arrive, no good if you are about to go racing the next day! I try and support my local hobby guys because if they go out of business it would be a big pane in the butt!

I have 2 lhs's each about 15 minutes away, but sometimes their prices are outrages compared to towerhobbies.
The one lhs, which I like the most, has good prices on all their stuff besides their actual vehicles... a stampede for $225 [X(]

My LHS doesnt stock anything for 1/8th buggy, so when i buy stuff of the web i use froogle and just get it off whatever site is the cheepest.. (not including Ebay)

Tower alwayse has the best deals in my area... but when tower doesn't have things... transponders... I go down to Speedworld Raceway... Then if all else fails... Hobbytown.
Hobbytown is last now because they tried charging me 230 for a Blade CP where everywhere else... including online and speedworld it's 220...
I only buy via ebay if theres a REALLY good deal...

I wish Hobbytown carried Kyosho parts. I would give them alot of business. I only go to them for fuel and Traxxas stuff. Everything else I order from SoutheastRC, Tower, eBay and Quicktech.

I'm cursed and blessed here in Florida. I have two Losi supported shops within 25 minutes of me, but they never have much in terms of XXX-NT parts... heck, they didn't even have the new AD2 parts so I can do my conversion. I'll get my fuel there or other odds and ends, and impusle items, but I do most of my business online.
I don't have a monster truck, or a RTR stadium truck from other companies, so I'm S.O.L locally pretty much.

arent I and i just have to ask them to order the things i need and 5 days later BAM!! they have it. My other local hobby shop which is like 15 min riding a bicycle has a track YAy!
