Default Balance tires/rims ? How ?

How do you balance your tires and rims? Or do you even bother? I checked mine and they were really out of balance which could really vibrate a car/truck to pieces. Anyone got a good system for doing that?

I use a hobbico prop balancer, but will not do monster truck tires. Only 1/10 scale. It is magnetic and very precise. I use tiny lead weights to balance.

The tires and wheels were so far out of balance that it would take a whole roll of tape to balance two of them. I used stick on type lead and two of the tires took over a 1/4 ounce. Anyway, thanks for the replies. I just really wanted to know if thier was an official way to do it. Looks like my way was as good as any.

Try golf club weight. You can get it at any golf shop. It is a thin laed tape.

It doesn't matter. I don't bother anymore, I just go with what feels good. dirt and mud will eventually stick to your tires and well they're not balanced anymore. The constant wear of the tire will also put it out of balance.

If it is really bad though, glue a washer to the inside of your rim.
