I own them both, as well as a couple of gasoline/oil powered RCs. Then again, perhaps, Bennie owns one of them. If anyone is wondering, Bennie is sleeping on a 1/4 scale. Tigger is also inside the body of a 1/5 scale in my avatar.

I have ever only used nitro so i haven't had the opportunity/experience of driving/owning an electric, maybe something to try.

I run both... Still Trying to Bring my Samurai up to date.

The short run times of electrics can be annoying 1.5 hours to charge for 18 mins of run time. after that top speed reduces
35 mins before glitching and servo problems.

For my nitros I can bring it in for a pit stop dump more fuel in the tank and I'm off again.

I got both but, I pick electric... If I was asked this question 5 years ago I would've picked nitro. Electric motors, batteries and chargers are way much better now than befor.

LOL!!!

"Lett is the head of the design team at Team Associated, a sort of mad scientists' laboratory for RC cars. His modified RC10 L3O Insane Speed Run car posted a speed of 111 mph at a speed-record attempt at Irwindale Speedway in 2001.

That speed has been verified by the folks over at Guinness World Records, and it leaves the official posted record of 59.09 mph in its dust. Lett's record isn't on the Guinness World Records site yet, but he's got the certificate to prove the record is legit. "

yea you can say "oh but an electric has the fastest speed" but generally speaking, eg e-maxx versus t-maxx etc, nitro is faster.

But you can't compare them, replace the e-maxx's electric motors with the horsepower equivelant of the t-maxx and there would be NO CONTEST.

I have and race both. If I could only race or own one I would go with nitro because I think they are cooler. I do admit though that racing my electric stadium truck is more relaxing than the nitro. I think electric is easier not better. Funniest thing is racing an electric after running a nitro heat. It's like you suddenly went deaf. All these trucks zipping around the track and no noise.

I selected Nitro. I have tried both but prefer nitro. I fly planes and helicopters aswell and have had these (all nitro) long before I bought my cars. I think that because of this I was always more likley to become interested in nitro cars. Another reason for me to select nitro is my racing. If I could not race I would not own a car. My local track is off road and only runs nitro cars. There is a smaller track nearby about to start racing off road electric but I am we and truly bitten by the nitro bug.
