yea you can say "oh but an electric has the fastest speed" but generally speaking, eg e-maxx versus t-maxx etc, nitro is faster.
But you can't compare them, replace the e-maxx's electric motors with the horsepower equivelant of the t-maxx and there would be NO CONTEST.
yea but u modifyde the electric if u but a bigger engine in the t-max youd beat the modifyd e-max

started out with electric and now i have a truggy. imo, the nitros are better maintenance wise, cuz they dont require much maintenance if you do it right. my electrics need to have their motors oiled, bushings replaced, batteries charged, and they run for a certain amount of time. nitros can be run for as long as you want, as long as you keep an eye on the engine's health and you have enough fuel and glow plugs [X(].and im not telling a lie, but my electrics break down faster and more often than my nitro does.

I started off in nitro but now mostly use electric. Why? More racing.

lol nitro vs electric is almost as bad as domestics vs ricers...

my vote is nitro it by far draws more of a crowd when you out playing with it and tiny motors are amazing to me especially like the rotary nitros ...cool

Hmm.....thats not quite true.....I draw a fairly decent crowd when they see a 50+mph car that's only 12 inches long.

I think alot of the time it boils down to what you started out on. I have raced both and myself prefer nitro. I think the reason being is I also race a 1:1 drag car and its somthing about the combustion engine that pulls me in.

I think with todays high quality batts/chargers/motors the price and runtime is a wash.....when compared to Nitro.

FYI....as far as whats fast.... I don't see any nitros with high speed records. :-)

i have only used nitro for the past 4 years but i like electric as it so clean and hassel free just charge and go.

everyone says nitro is quicker but at my local track we race both togeter and electric beats nito just as much as nitro beats electric so both are realy good and in the end it all come down to what you can afford and what you are going to use it for and were

there was a nitro rs4 on this one website that went over 100mph. that was a record at that time i believe.
but i still agree that electric holds the fastest record. lighter and uses a super light power source (motor and lipo batts)

I agree, and most people have seen the RS4 Super Nitro video. I heard someone made video footage of an electric exceeding 100mph as well but I can't find it. Is there even any 100mph electric video out there?

I think nitro is easier......

As I stated above.... IMO... I think it has alot to do with what you started out with and what your 1st experience was with each one.

I think its a pain to have to haul around batteries, chargers, motors, ect ect...but thats just MY opinion.

This subject is probably one of the most highly debated ever....
