Thats good to know ,as i always turn up with crystals that others are using, now i can buy 12 sets for a great price (£15) , and i wont have to worry about crashing another peoples cars or having my cars crashed by other people i`ll get my sister to make all the ribbons

Futaba states not to use any other crystal but their own for their radio systems as it may affect the radios performance.

An upside to the Xmod xtals is that they are not standard rc channels. They are like 1/2 way between the standard frequencies I think. which will mean that you won't interfer with anybody running a standard frequency.

I`ve used crystals of many makes in many different transmitters and recievers, in over 20 years of R/C ing, and never had any problems, as long as you get the frequencies to match you shouldn`t have any problems mixing the brands , I only wanted to know if XMOD crystals fitted standard RX/TX because the cars are so small , Thanx Alexxx for the answer [sm=thumbup.gif]

The downside is that the non standard channels are standard CB frequencies here in the US, so you may get a hit. Though chances are slim...
