Default HPI Super Nitro RS4 Porsche 911...

I am thinking of buying this model. I am a newbie that just started getting into models and was wondering if this HPI 911 is good. Should I buy this as an assembled or un-assembled kit? Is this particular model tunable? What are some other models that are good that you think I might be interested in? Also, what are some good shops to buy models and accessories from? Thanks

That depends on if you want to build your kit or if you dont want to deal with the building part of it.. If it was me - I like building my kits unless i'm stuck buying a RTR like the Savage 21.. I like my futaba radio gear and exhanged the engine right out of the box.. But I still went through it and checked all screws to make sure they were locktighted and to learn more about the assembly of the truck itself..

Is RCmodels.com a good place to buy a HPI model?

try www.towerhobbies.com

I would actually go with a normal 1/10 scale car such as the RTR3 since 1/10 scale is much more popular than whatever scale the supernitro's are (they are like 1/9 or so). The supernitros are a little bit slower than the RTR3's actually because they are heavier but use the same engine.
