Default Sell or Restore? Which way do you go with older RC cars?

Before I go on spending cash, I was wondering what the factors are in restoring vs. selling. One big concern I have is while we play with these cars, they will break and how easy are parts to find?? Would i be better off selling my oldies and getting newer models with easily available parts and upgrages?? OR are parts availabe, but not as easy to find... plus is older technology cheaper than the newer tech (radio equip, esc's, motors etc)??

Please steer me right!

Depends on what they are i guess m8 some models are worth sourcing the original parts as they sell for a good price, some of the tamiya older range go for a lot some of the 3 speeds and scorchers etc i see go for thousands of pounds with a box [X(]

I would rebuild to new status then put it on the shelf as a collectable then buy a newer one to actually run.

Whoops... too fast on the trigger.

The next is a Traxxas Sledgehammer... needs rear trailing arm repairs..

The last is a team losi model... i don't know what it is ... need to spend some time ID'ing it... maybe i will post a picture here to solicit help.
