The diff gears are steel, i run the himoto brushless system in mine and it holds up well, i use a 7.4 5000mah battery in it. You will be amazed what a brushless system can do, lol.

I was looking through himotoracingusa.com once and seen the brushless system but then when i went back it wasn't there anymore. I think i might hold off on the brushless for my next check. Eddie i think i may of paid a few of your bills in the last three days of my ordering escapade.

lol, you have the itch, lol.... I know because i scratch it all the time

Brushless is the way to go for sure but you will need a good battery (i reccomend lipo) to bring the system to life.

Thanks for all the business bro, I do appreciate it and look forward to you becoming a member of the himoto family

Once the EMXT-1 goes brushless and the RXT-1 goes full on race worthy (piston & sleeve upgrade, servo upgrade, radio upgrade, wheels and tires, etc.) I think ill go for a MTR-2S and start tinkering with that.

i think i would make into something like a baja 1000 pre-runner or along those lines. What updates is the RXT-2 going to have?

i was told, himotos come with very low end electronics, but tough steel differential gears, good for brushless upgrade.

our brushless is far from low end, its a sensored system, very nice. the stock stuff in the electric viper and stuff is just that, stock regular stuff, the new stuff we have has some good grade motors and esc's, the mega e series.

Its still in development, the suspension is going to be the biggest difference.
