Default HPI MT2 Trouble Starting

I have just brought a HPI MT2 off of ebay (used to only run tamiya and kyosho) and i am having real trouble starting it. It feels as if it's stuck in gear, the pull start is hard to pull and wheels move when i pull it. It's not floode.
Has anyone any ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Steve

If the wheels are turning when you pull the starter cord i would check the clutch in the truck. sounds like it is stuck are hung up.

I would bet you have a broken clutch spring, depending on where it broke you might be able to make a new loop and get by with it till you get a new one.

I agree I would check the clutch first. Clutch springs are cheap.
