Default Back yard race tracks.

Just christened my new back yard track. 1 nitro Evader and 3 electric 1/10 buggies.

It's amazing what you can do with a lawn mower and a few beers!

Anyone else have there own "back yard track"?

Lets see some pictures!

Cheers, Brett.

Look real nice, that tree is in a critical point where you need to see your trucks tho...
Add some whoops and jumps too!

Yes the tree is a small problem but so far it has'nt been a worry!

There is a jump on the track now! The pics were taken before it was added.

Cheers, Brett.

I just want to see how your grass starts to look after you and your friends have been running on it for a few weeks! Every turn will start to just be dirt. You must not be married or have a really cool wife to let you do that!

I'm planning on using the same track building technique up at my family's cottage. We have an extra big lawn so a section will be devoted for the track. A lawnmower's definitely easier than digging up sod!

Ha! I have never seen the mower technique

Nice Gex! I wish I had that sort of room for my 1/18th track. I work with what I have

WOW!

There are some nice tracks out there! The lawn mower is a good tool for track making.
A "Victa" makes a better, tougher race track! IMHO.

The misses hates it with a vengence, lucky i did it before she saw it! I have been told to get it back to how it was, or else. Or else what? Iguess i don't really want to know the answer to that, Do I?

Short lived but ton's of fun for a week!

Cheers for the replies guys< Brett.

Does the Misses have a car of her own? If not, that could changer her whole perspective on the thing

She does'nt like them at all, no interest what so ever! [][&o]

Good thought, though I think it would be better to buy her one for her birthday and after she
has finnished yelling at me, I will take it.

Cheers, Brett.

Some buddies and I are working on this in my backyard, we run 1/8th scale buggies and 1/10th trucks on it. It is a work in a low budget progress. The dirt should be here in a few days, ommiting the need for wooden ramps.

No haven't yet that has been the going joke though. It belongs to the wife and it is the one thing we can't touch. The kids will soon be invading the backyard too, a play set is going back there this weekend, I hope they can get along with a 10x10 section lol

Hey guys love all the tracks I showed my wife and she actually said why dont you make a track in the backyard and I said whhhhaaaaaa ok. So I am gonna put in an 18th scale track where an old above ground pool used to be. Planning on starting in a few weeks I have a question though is their a dirt that is better for a track or will any type of fill dirt properly stamped down work? Will definately post pics as we go.

Hey Budha24,

Here is a "how to" of track design and building.
I have used this method to make lots of tracks. It's simple and easy.

Hope it helps you!

Cheers, Brett.
