Well for the first time, I added fuel to my MTR-2S and she fired up on the third press of the rotostart button. Not bad for sitting on the shelf for a longgggggggg time.
The settings are still the same as when I pulled the engine out of my MXT-2S. It is only like 86 degrees out today and I did noticed the Infinity getting about 290 on the temp.
But had plenty of smoke. I let it idle for about 6 seconds and it got back down to 240..... I remember someone else saying their Infinity likes to run warm also.....Kuppler? Redharris?
I still don't have the jumping down pat yet...... I still want to do a nosedive......

running at 290, while running hard in hot weather is not that bad. To keep the nose up, keep on the throttle a until your ready to hit, then let off.

OK, I will try that....
The only other thing I need to do is re-adjust the throttle arm linkage. As of now the carb only opens up 1/4 of the way. I only did that to run a few more tanks(after break in) before I let her rip.
As soon as my daughter gets home, were going to a development area and I'm gonna run the crap outa this thing.............. Lots of WOT runs.....

Just back in from some run'n... I only have one word for this MTR-2S.......WOW!!
This thing is a rocket. I only had to make one carb adjustment to allow continuous WOT runs.
I only ran 3 tanks of fuel but had total runtime about 30-40 minutes... Good fuel mileage.....
Very hard to control on a gravel road....not much easier on dirt either.........
I flipped it, cartwheeled, and rolled it over several times and didn't break a thing. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]
Working on video now..

I ran today...kind of. I had something in my HSN, so I had to clean that out...I'm really not sure what it was. looked like a metal burr or something. thats cleaned out, so great, car's running fine...then a couple passes and wouldn't ya know it...I lost a grub screw. Eddie, which screw is needed for the dogbone connector on the rear diff of a syclone? I think its a 3mm, but I can't be certain.

I was Planning on running the MXT2S today.......
Went Over her and Tightened a few screws and made a few adjustments......around Noon.....
Too Hot to run (102 deg) so was waiting til late afternoon when the temps drop just a bit.....
So I'm workin in the Yard in the Meantime just doing a few small things, when I start to feel a lil Nauseous from the Heat (that Never happens to ME!) and I go in to lay down for a few minutes in the Nice cool Air conditioning.......And Wake up 5 hours later and it getting Dark outside!!!!!
Guess I must be gettin OLD too, Dammit!.....Lol....
