I have a ridiculous motor (I won in a winter indoor champion point series) and ESC that I am wonder if it will work in a 1/16 e-revo. It's a 7000KV reedy 380 motor. It is currently in my rc18T which of course makes it rather difficult to drive.
I have taken it to the track and raced mini e-revo's with it just for kicks and surprisingly the rc18t is blowing their doors in. Now most of that is I have many hours driving the truck so knowing when you actually lean in on the throttle helps. I know the xvl mini revo motor is only a 2500KV (I think) but I'm more or less wondering if this associated motor would work in one.
I know I can get a "Brushed" mini slash but I already have a slash (1/10) and a revo 3.3 and would like to have a kick around truck to race around and show off between heats at the track. The RC18T is a rocket but I would rather keep it in one piece for winter comp indoors with foam tires, jumps that make you go 15 feet rather than 40
Cheers!

Without a doubt the mini XVL is suited. I just won the motor and ESC and have nothing to really put it in so I just put it in my rc18t. After about 15 gear changes I have gotten it to work offroad on the outdoor tracks but it is not what I really designed the truck to run for. It is my "Winter indoor foam/carpet racer" and no matter what gearing I put in there 7000KV is wayyyy too much for indoors. (Yes you can limit the ESC but it's not the top end that is the problem, the punch makes the truck push too much through corners)
I mention this because a local shop had gotten a mini e-revo that is brushed with a 380 titan and it sells for about 100 bucks less. I was trying to figure out if I could get the "cheaper one" and drop what I already had in

Ok got ya. I diddent know about the brushed versions of the e-revo. @ 7000kv just kee a strong eye on the temps and gear accordinily. If you can make a full run without overheating I would say you would be good to go
