So I guess the ones I have for my evader ext would not work on it ? If so who sells diffrent size metric versions then.
That won't work.

I think some of the Tamiya pinions are metric pitch but Robinson also has some metric pinions.

http://www.robinsonracing.com/catalo...on.html#metric - it's the second set of pinions (48p metric)

No, the spur and pinion would have to be the same pitch otherwise your not going to be able to mesh then correctly and they will strip out.

Have a hunt for what is called "metric 48 pitch". That's what you're after. Went through all this myself a few months ago. I think fleabay may have some but if not just try a google search.

one more question about this before I drive everyone crazy with it. Is it possible to change both spur and pinion gears to regular 48 pitch gears ? Shouldnt be any mesh issue the I guess.

I doubt you can change over both to normal as the spur design for mounting is fairly different to most others but you never know. I wasn't able to find any other spur to fit myself so that's why I went ahead and tracked down some matching pinions instead.

I put a venom 17t in my rustler with the xl-5 stock esc. I fried the motor litterally within 1 battery pack, maybe 10 minutes.lol

I wont say that its Imposible, but its highly unlikely that it will work.

The HPI spur gear is designed to fit in the Center of the car.

The Himoto Spur gear is built into the Rear.

Ok, I have made a new driveshaft, working on adding a spur gear adapter. But for the life of me cant figure out how to adjust the servo saver.

Anyone have a recommendation ? I either have it too loose or too tight and cant seem to find its happy place [] .

The cv axles work really nice by the way .
