Uhm, Brushless ESC
Uhm, I have a question. does anyone know how to program these chinese Brushless ESCs. It looks like the One Redcat Sells, but it's not a redcat or himoto. It's identical, but it has chinese writing on it. This guy brought it in here to have me put it on his Rustler. He got it from a friend who ordered it off Ebay from Some place in China. It needs to have the braking action programed or something. It doesn't act like it's braking, more like just coming to a stop because of loss of momentum. Is that normal for crushless?
Help!!!!
confused about Electrics in Texas, LOL.

There is a whole series of things to do, you have to get it into programming mode, it depends. Redcats is not programable, its made by novatech, ours is sensored but can be programmed with a card or with the programming button on the esc. it really depends on the setup codes of the esc, there should be a flashing light, series of beeps, etc.

Ya, that's it. Novatech, but it wasn't in a redcat package. It was all in Chinese. Anyway, that's all I wanted to know. It's good to go. Working good and doing it's thing and Easy $30 bucks to put it on and solder everything. Thanks

Adam, just a thought, did you try switching 2 of the wires on the motor? Not 100% sure but I know with a sensorless you just switch any 2 wires. May be different with the sensored.

RE: Uhm, Brushless ESC
i will make a vid on the brakes. i had a problem like that before and it was my controller and reciever stuff. maybe this will help. after defaualt is set. esc on push the button till only the green light is on. release. the first double flash of the red light. push the button that will put you into the motor break mode. cycle thru the lights till both lights are off. that it 100% fwd. 25%rrev. and the breaks feel bretty good in tis mode. you want that beak in reverse also if you try a wheely youre goin to tear it up. do it naturally get a big battery and gun it!

send the setup to me, i will see if i can get it to work. I dont think its the esc because its running ok, just backwards, i think its a setting but dont know until i check it out.
