Default Car is running great! Thanks alot. 1 Q!

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to thank you all for all the previous help. Got it running. I went to a hobby store got a new plate and switched gear, bam np. Also tuned 3 from closed on lsn and 2 on hsn. One thing is I noticed, I am an extreme novice at tuning. My glow plug is getting black on the bottom. Idk if that is bad, I am assuming that its running rich. I just wanna know how far from the tune i have now i need to adjust lsn so the thing doesn't make my glowplug black and doesn't spit fuel all over my driveway.
I also wanna know the risks of killing my pinch with rotostart and using. I just usually kick drill start 1-2 times if it doesn't start I check plug, ignitor and then I tune back to default.

Thanks guys,
vid hopefully coming soon.

sounds like your running a little lean, richen the high needle like a 1/4 turn.  You wont ruin the pinch with the drill start, you can just strip the gears on crack the housing of the backplate and sometimes do some damage to the con rod if the engine becomes hydrolocked.

Ok great thanks for all your help!
So I don't need to mess with the LSN? Leave it at 3 and that will cure spitting fuel?

if its spitting fuel try leaning a 1/4 turn and try again, then if its still spitting alot of fuel then do another 1/4.

I agree. I am finding out now, once it won't start, I check usual then move and reset needles. Sure start.

hay Eddie...I honestly think you can screw the pinch with a roto start....I mean if you keep cranking on it without it starting its gotta whipe the pinch...granted if you just zap it and it starts you will be fine...kinda falls in line of why you want it to get up to temp ASAP...just my opinion...I have been known to be wrong before

nah, its the same as pullstarting or using a bump box.  Maybe if your dry starting with no fuel and doing it for a long time possible but it would have to be alot of cranking.

The biggest thing about using a rotostart is you dont get the feel like you do with a pullstart.

I know about the feel, but as I have said b4 I am in a wheelchair, and the pull start I have is like the hardest one to pull I have ever used. I am just not physically strong enough. and cant get leg/ arm leverage, to like kneel with it.

But
thanks alot!

you will be able to hear it after you use it a for a while, they sound will change as it gets hydrolocked or when its not starting correctly/out of tune.

True but it was a crazy. I think its faulty because when i took out the pull starter the spring went wack. Everywhere. It had to have been wound too tight.

you have to be careful when you remove the pullstart, that spring will uncoil easily, you have to almost keep your hands on it as you take off the pullstart.  Dont worry, i have had it happen to me a few times.

That will happen if your not carefull taking a pull start off the center of it sticks to the owb and booiiiing !!!!!, then you get to recoil it and swear at it.
