Goodies! HPI Sprint 2 Flux, Orion Lipo, Dynamite Charger
Did some networking/IT work for the owner of my LHS, got paid with some goodies instead of cash.
1)HPI Sprint 2 Flux RTR w/ 5700kv sensorless system
2) Orion 4000mAh 2s Lipo w/ Kokam cells
3) Dynamite Passport Ultra AC/DC all purpose charger
I'm not a huge fan of the body on this car, he has a really nice Tamiya BMW body with light pods I might pick up later.
Should be a zippy car, I'll take some videos and more pics when I open it up. Sorry for the quality of this picture, came out kinda funky.

Here are some more shots of the Sprint 2 unboxed. It's a 4x4 belt drive system, seems nice and smooth. Radio is just an HPI TF-1, which isn't the greatest but it will do. Steering servo is an SF-1, which is fine for on-road purposes. Later today I'll solder up the right connectors and get the car running hopefully.

Sweet i own a sprint 2 sport and one thing i will suggest you do is to cut out the rear bulkhead(i think thats what its called) like in my picture. the only reason its helpful is because the rear belt gets chewed up if a rock gets stuck back there.

Well, drove the car for the first time today after finally soldering the connectors on. Ran really nicely, zippier than I expected for a 5700kv. But..... I did strip the spur, because I conveniently forgot it was loose [&:]

Nice car. I was looking at that one to have an electric in my collection. When you stripped the gear is that just because it's a stock one and you plan on replacing it with something more heavy-duty?

I replaced it with a stock one that was lying around. I don't think there is anything wrong with the gear itself, I just had the mesh too loose.

I'd give it an 8 or a 9. It's very durable - I did some rather distasteful things to do it and nothing broke. Performance is great with a 2s lipo, more than fast enough for most people. At first I was a bit weary of the rather complicated belt setup, but it seems to be holding up just fine, even though some debris got into it. Great car overall, as are most of HPIs offerings.
