Default My Ten-T is here!

So I went to Cyclone Hobbies to pick up my Ten-T, they had a promotion so I got a $15 gift card, pretty nice. Waiting till christmas day to open it and it will be awesome. Sorry I know this is the Himoto fourms but I wanted to know if you guys could give me some tips about owning this. I know alot of people think it sucks because its not electric, and because of the SC truck rage lately this is not getting the attention I think it should get. Basically I'm just a hardcore basher and thats all I wanted in this truggy, I mean I can probably hit 50 with the 2 speed tranny and .20 engine. For me this is a balance between nitroo and technology, my two favorite things.

Let me know what you think!!

Luckily it shipped with orange and thats what I was hoping for!

Seems like a nice truggy but you would get more hits and answers in a Losi forum.

I really dont know anything about it, the layout or anything, thats why it would be best to post this is in the Losi forum.

it should, just like the 3.3 trx, the blocs are setup like .18 and smaller, only problem is the rear exhaust, it might not work.

I agree. Unfourtunatly this was supposed to be 2 speed with a 2 shoe clutch but now its center diff which is better than a 2 speed i know, but I was wondering about putting this on my rapida since its small block only problem is rear exhaust which I can deal with. Eddie could i trick out my rapida sometime by putting this engine, telemetry an a specktrum radio on it? Could i put dsm or whatever on my rapida?

Cool, i will try this at some point. I wonder what this would have on the nx-15 from CEN.

Also eddie I tried posting questions on the losi fourm yesterday and day before and no responce!
Its rather biased on the fourms because everyone thinks electric is soo amazing.... Anyway i pmed a losi employee and no response. I know they must be busy but it said he was online.. I am asking critical questions (and so are others) about break in and battery life and such and no responce..... Have to see what happens, thats why you all are great! Answer so fast and accurate.

I am sure they are busy with the holiday season around the corner.  I am not very impressed with the nx-15 from cen, i think its the same as the vx engines.

vx-16, the cen is a .15,  The vx is a decent reliable engine.  Cen gets its high speeds by selling or depending on the kit including a set of very high geared spur gears.

I know the cen is a 15 engine but it has an output of 1.5 horsepower at 33,000 rpm. Sh 18 (.18 engine) has only 1.0 according to SH's site. Vertex doesn't have a site so all I know is a 16 by them is 2.67cc. So it would be more comprable to my Losi 354 its output is 1.5hp. Interestingly enough, I was looking at O.S. engines and I could have a better engine with the OS .12 speed tuned. Has nearly as much HP as os 18tz. Speed tuned has 1.75 at 35,000 rpm and .18tz has 1.8hp at 29,000rpm. I know that it may seem that the .18 is still more powerful but the .12's practical rpm range is 44,000! While the .18tz's is only 35,000.

I doubt that the cen has 1.5 hp, most engine manufacturers over exaggerate their HP claims.  I have 2 cen's and there is no way that .15 puts out tbe same power as the sh .18.  The os tz is the way to go, that has nice power.

I think you are confused about the 2 speed Tranny in this car. The Ten T was always meant to be a Track racer first and a Basher second.
You are probably thinking of the Losi 1/10 Speed NT. It is a 2 wheel drive (like a Jato) and is able to pass 60 mph,,,,Stock! (so say the RC Mags).
It has a 2 speed Tranny and the same Engine as the Ten T. Here is a link.
http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSB0125

If you look at YOUR truck,,,,you will see the strange elongated Clutch Bell (much like the Redcat Monsoon[:'(]).
The reason they did That is because crankshaft needed to be long enough to use the Losi Style 2 speed clutch bell, (in the Speed NT)
