A Brushless Conversion for 5b

Castle just made a brushless conversion for the Baja. I'l just stick to my gasoline engine.

redcat will be selling a 1/5 scale brushless powered RTR 4wd buggy soon.
i will get one in addition to my KM baja, instead of converting it to brushless.

the motor is comparable to the neu 22 series if im not mistaken. $699 for motor and esc- 8s compatible.

personally, id just get a pheonix 160 w/ 2 direction and run a lower KV motor with more volts. 8s isnt enough for a 5B

I'll stick to high end race ported gas engines. They're fun and loud, but still really easy to tune and maintain compared to nitro. There are some absurdly high power modded engines available now days. I'm sure a big brushless motor on 8s has a lot of power but the throttle response and realistic feel of a gas engine is part of the fun. The instant torque of a brushless motor is impressive but feels less "real" to me.

Anyone have a link or more specs for the Castle system?
