Will a high torque throttle servo increase acceleration?
 
Hi, i'm a newb to nitro and i was wondering if i replaced my stock crappy throtttle servo with a hi torque or high power or whatever there called servo will my acceleration be increased?

No, but there are some high torque/speed servos that are designed for speed, with a 0.07 second per 60 degree turn from Airtronics is very fast but also features high torque of 130 oz/in (I think), Any regular servo of 0.18 seconds or less will get you good acceleration.

NO, but they can help with reaction times.

I use a JR 4750 for my break/throttle. Its great with the ABS feature. But beware if you use ABS and set your rates to fast you run a high risk of burning out servos. I have burned out 1 already.

a high torque servo for throttle/brake will not enhance acceleration, but it will give you increased stopping power.

I just reread this whole post. I thought it was a high speed/high torque servo. The dude that ate tweety is correct, it will just help with braking.
