plastic gears, no ball bearings, 56oz torque... i would not use that for steering.

IMO get a hitec 645mg see em for around $28 (shipped on ebay) use them in my 1/8th buggy, 1/8th truggy, and 1/12th truggy (that sucker ate cheaper servos)

RE: Would this servo be a direct replace for a sterring
I'd just go the 645MG for the same cash if it was me, but if you want that one its upto you.
I only got experience with the 645 so I can't comment on the 635(also never heard of anyone say anything positive or negative about it) |
RE: Would this servo be a direct replace for a sterring
nitroholic, the one you linked is still only 83oz torque, and 'kryptonite' gears ? i dont know whats that but its no metal gears !
get the 645mg, its got metal gears, ball bearings and has 133oz of torque. for the steering always use metal gear servos if possible. |
RE: Would this servo be a direct replace for a sterring
Alright i'll go with that one yous metioned.

RE: Would this servo be a direct replace for a sterring
i dont know, some plugs have a little tab on one side to make sure you dont plug it inverted.
if the servo have the tab and your receiver doesnt, just remove the tab from the servo plug with a knife. |
RE: Would this servo be a direct replace for a sterring
Yeah the original traxxas ones do have that tab,so either way it should work.

RE: Would this servo be a direct replace for a sterring
actually 'Karbonite' gears are actually alright, they lasted well in my mates savage :P he just kept stripping the servo horn for some reason
