Need Help with Esc issue
 

have owned my rc car for about a week. used it twice. im running a Futaba Mc330cr rsc and i go to plug in thebatteryto it and the thing just turns on goes full throttle and then starts to smoke. Now every time i plug the battery in even with the radio off and theESCoff the car still moves.

Im thinking obviously the ESC must be burnt out, and if so i dont really want to spend alot of money on replacing this, since its just a hobby. wondering if you guys have any idea for other good somewhat cheap ESC's?

traxxas xl5 esc they are cheap and easy to find

does the issue i have tho sound like it could be a esc problem like its fried?

I agree, bet money on the esc is ruined for some reason. Try recalibrate to radio as a long shot. Some duratrax intellispeed escs are good deals.
