Differences between Cup Racer & Switch?

I however only need 1 (well 2 chassis 1 FWD and AWD). I dont plan on doing in races or anything. My roommate says the best brand is HPI and Ishould buy HPI. However I do not know what the difference is between HPICup Racer and HPISwitch. I am fairly sure one is for competitive race tracks and lower to the ground which Idont want because I will be playing with it on parking lots. Could someone please explain the differences? -Does the one I need come in both FWD and AWD? Is he correct about HPI being the best brand? -If so do they make a carbon fiber chassis? He says they can all use a brushless motor is this correct?</div></span> |

He says they can all use a brushless motor is this correct?</div></span> HPI are not the best brand in any of the classes they offer product in. They are however a good solid choice in most classes. They are not generally racetrack ready cars, which is not important to you since you are parking lot bashing, HPI is as good a brand as you will ever need. They can all use a brushless motor setup. |

ThunderbirdJunkie would buy a Tamiya M05 Pro kit for the front-wheel-drive chassis, and the HPI Cup Racer for the AWD car.
In RC there is no "Best" brand, but HPI has been consistently good over the years with a few minor terds (the Switch, being one). BTW, Foxy, in the US quite a few on road tracks have a Mini class filled with Tamiya M chassis and the like. |

The Tamiya TA05v.2 and Tamiya TB03 are also really good racers (the ta05v.2r slightly better on the track and the tb03 a bit better on dusty, dirty surfaces) But if you want the true ten scale of the hpi badly then get the hpi cup racer. Personally I think the best brand in Onroad is Tamiya and Basher Offroads being Thunder Tiger and Racing Offroads being Team Associated but thats my opinion, like tbj said, the is know real best brand <br type="_moz" /> |

I second the above in regards to the tamiya, I would pick them for just about any basic onroad setup. My first rc was a Tamiya, I miss that thing terribly!

My first RC was a TA02, back in the wayyyy old days of brushed and niCad haha I also had a TT01 for a bit, it was a blast!

I'm not sure if the wheelbase can be changed, but it is a well built car with very good performance. 1.yes, as noted above. 2a.I don't know about best, but they pretty good depending on which chassis you're looking at. 2b.Yes, there is an upgrade carbon chassis as well as other chassis parts like shock towers. 3. Yes pretty much any hobby grade RC car or truck can be fitted with a brushless system. |
