Which comes first?

When done driving for the day, which should be powered off first, the car or radio?

Thanks in advance!<br type="_moz" />

ya don't want runaways even though 99% of the 2.4ghz radios I know of shouldn't have an issue either way.

Back when I used AM on the other hand I've had RC's fly off my bed full throttle after I was done making sure they were working when I forgot to turn the car off before the radio.

Im glad Im not the only one to have their RCs fly off the bed and do backflips after it hit the wall[&:]

Very interesting - The reason I asked is because there is a sticker on the car that mentions damaging the servo if not powered off in the correct order.

When I first started in RC, I made this mistake. Unknown to me (on the drivers stand) my throttle servo went to full brake because I turned off the radio and the failsafe kicked in. In less than 2 minutes my servo went up, creating a ball of smoke that impressed everyone.

impressive :D
I've only knocked an arm off on a redcat sumo damage wise :D

YES I OWN A REDCAT I'm so ashamed :(
j/k I got bored of it fast and ripped it to pieces still trying to figure out how to mount a 2S lipo to it cause I converted everything else to standard electronics (it had an all in 1 electronics/rx board, and used AA's)

Technically you should always turn the car off first, but that practice was put into place when AM and FM radios were commonly used, which would accept interference, resulting in a run away car. Nowadays with 2.4ghz, this chance is significantly smaller, but it's still a good idea. I just turn off whatever my hand is closer too honestly most of the time, lol.

What about turning ON? Should you turn the recevier on first? I think I heard receiver on first/off first....but could be wrong. That is what I do, out of habit more than anything.

True dat.

Radio first on, last off, since it controls everything. If you think about it, it makes total sense.

Theres a good way to remember... Speaking in terms of the transmitter... First on, last off.
