Transmitter suggestions

So im looking to buy a new transmitter and receiver for my 1/8th scale buggy and looking for some suggestions. Im looking to spend up to 300 and looking for somthing with good range. so wondering what you guys use and recommend.

The Spektrum DX4R. I have one myself and it is an amazing transmitter with awesome range and design.
