need help

I have an RC car that resembles a Nascar style car, it was copyrighted in 1996 under hasbro.

I remember they came in two frequencies and two colors that I can recall, red and purple.

I am trying to find the name of it. The name very well could have been printed on it. I got it when I was a kid and I repainted it after it got too scuffed up

Um, Hasbro is a TOY manufacturer, so I'm assuming that this is a toy-grade RC. Like the stuff they sell at Christmas time at Big 5 Sporting Goods.
What are you looking to do with it, besides finding the name? If you have ideas about getting it running or "upgrading" it, I would advise against it. Not worth your money. Better to go buy a new one like it, unless you're into the idea of buying a true hobby-grade RC, and paying good money for it. What are you thinking about? From your screen name, can I assume that you're looking to see if Camdyn has an interest in RC? How old is he/she? If you're trying to judge interest level for a 5 y/o , I'd still suggest buying a cheap toy grade RC. If he hasn't broken it, and is still playing with it in four months, then I'd consider spending a little more for the hobby grade, but still keep the car and budget small-ish. Revell (the old plastic model company) has come out with some entry level RCs under the Dromida brand. They can be had for about $100. And they come with everything you need, including "chrystal-less" 2.4ghz radios, and full parts support. Do you have a hobby shop nearby that you can visit? Or will you be buying online? Tower Hobbies and A-Main Hobbies are two of the largest online retailers, very reputable.

Trying to find the name so I can get a controller.

Ah...well, chances are, that's not gonna happen. You said it had a choice of two channels, meaning xtals, which means "kinda old". And it's for a toy-grade RC. Probably not going to find any out there. Not here anyway. I wouldn't waste time trying to find a controller for a cheap toy, mate. Better to just go buy a new cheap car.

I am trying to do so for sentimental reasons. I am also searching for an Old Typo Eliminator 9.6v. It was a toy of my childhood as is tore current one.

Just looking for help, if you can cool, of not that's cool too.

Sorry for the excessive typos. I am using my tablet and it's being a pain

Ha ha...no problem man. I get ya. Maybe if you can post a picture of the car, any identifying marks, maybe someone here can help you. But toy RCs aren't really our thing here. Would like to try to help, tho.

Hey, I just typed "tyco eliminator" into a Google search and got all kinds of hits, pictures, even someone on a forum who said he found a new-in-box car! If you're looking for something, and you have a name, Google is your friend. Look at the "images for blah blah" when searching too. An image is sometimes linked to a website. Which can lead you to more info.
