Servo broken?
My first build and I am installing a Reedy servo, and I notice that when I turn it from 12-3 (clockwise) it feels totally smooth BUT when I turn from 12-9 (counterCW) it feels sort of gritty and sounds like it clicks and sticks slightly. Normal or defective?

Does it work fine? If it works, then it ain't broken, lol.

dunno - still building the dern thing. Just not sure if I should buy a new one yet! I guess when I crank it up I will see

you won't know if there is a problem until you plug it in and see if it works. I would just power up your receiver and transmitter and test it now before wasting time on the install.

Good idea thanks!

One way to test the servo is to just plug it in then place your finger on the servo horn connector with a little bit of pressure and turn full left and right and see if it movesd slower one way than the other, or see if the servo actually centers. That or you could pull it apart and check the gears :P
