RE: Waterproofing
Put the receiver inside a baloon (the standard party baloon type) Seal the baloon opening with a rubber band and put it inside the reciever box. This will make your electronics nice and watertight.

RE: Waterproofing
just out of curiousity, shouldn't something be done to the servo's too?
|
RE: Waterproofing
the same baloon thing has to be done to the servos, there was a page that told you exactly how to do it but i cant remember it

RE: Waterproofing
the correct way to waterproof a servo is to uscrew it then put silicone (like you can buy at the hardware store) around the edge where the cases join then seal the servo back up. the silicone will squeeze up on the case join and seal it.
you can also silicone at the opening of the ballon on the reciever you cant really totally waterproof a car because you dont want to get water down the air filter but you cant seal that up. and its pretty hard to properly seal your diff gearboxes and pullstart. you can only protect the electrics. might want to put a balloon over your reciever batteries to |
RE: Waterproofing
AEROPLATE by aerotrend no ballons needed servos and reciever will work under water
