RC Driver at USGP this weekend?
 

Saw a mention at the US Grand Prix site (www.usgpindy.com) that RC Driver will be having an R/C F1 demo on Thursday afternoon during the pit walkabout day.

I was wondering if there will still be an RC Driver display on Saturday/Sunday? I have been to the first 4 USGPs at Indy, and will be there again this year. I've also been involved with R/C racing since 1986, so I'm very interested in seeing this at that track.

Sorry to say that we were there on Thursday only. The event was a success. We were unable to round up any of the GP drivers like we did at the Indy 500 but the crowd seemed to enjoy what we had going on. Greg volunteered the use of his 1/5-scale F1 car which was a huge hit...no pun intended. Although his comment to us before we left for the event was along the lines of.."if you break it you don't have a job when you get back". Well it was nice working for RC Driver while it lasted[:o]

Nikko graciously donated several of their Williams F1 cars for the days activities. Now, before you think "Nikko?! " let me point out that at the end of the day, after almost constant running by the RC Driver crew and the general public, all but one car was still running. Everybody enjoyed them.

We also had a Kyosho Mini Z track set up for the public to enjoy. There was unending flow of people waiting to take a shot at driving them.

Up next? The Brickyard 400!! Maybe we'll see you there.
