Actually some manufactures suggest WD40, Traxxas is one of them , water displacement 40 well do just fine, RED

The weather is very pleasant here in Arizona, race every weekend, as far as spraying down the carb. goes go ahead sounds like a good idea, and be sure to rest the piston at the bottom of the cylinder , RED

does wd40 burn when you start the engine or you got to get it out before you start?

yeah good question. I.D. RED is fast evaporating but wd 40 is meant to stay to keep rust from forming.

Water Displacement 40, is just that is helps to combat against rust and moisture , mind you that the fuels that we use to operate or cars and trucks attract moisture which in hand starts the corrosion or rust ,by using a wd40 or oils it helps to prevent such thing from happening, RED

It definitely prevents rust and everything, but my maxx takes FOREVER to start if i have done WD-40 on it the night before. Instead of like a few seconds, it takes over a minute and once it is running you cant give it gas til it burns off the WD-40 or it will stall. Now i use after-run oil and it starts fine.

Cool are you or were you using alot of wd40 at the time? It really does n't take much, RED

i also use wd40 as after run.have been for along time without problems.
some say it ruins glow plugs but i haven't ruined one yet.they also say dont put down your carb as it might attack some of the seals in there.so that leaves putting it into the head which is fine but you must be real careful to clean around your glow plug first.acouple specs of dirt falling in there can be very harmful to your motor.

Yeah i probably was over-using it. I sprayed for about 2 seconds into the glow plug hole and it was completely filled [>:].
