COLD STARTING PROBLEM
 

I would like some advice on how to get the car started when its cold...5-10C... I can get it going with the help of the Hair dry in the garage.... but have failed every time when not close to a power supply.... !

I would REALLY APPRIECATE THE HELP.

y did u post this in 2 sections also just put the glow plug starter on and leave it 4 a min to get it warm inside and try that it might work btu i aint sure cuz i neva have a problem with cold starting here in the sunny west mids

The hairdrier works well if you are at your house... Try leaving the r/c in your car with the heater on until you are ready to start it... I do this all the time and it always works... My problem is the one way doesn't work when cold.... the engine in my mt2 starts on 1st pull.... This should help you

10c, about 40F or so... that isn't nearly cold enough to cause any serious problems, just set your low end needle valve...

10c is 50f, thats not cold enough to effect starting that much

40f to 50f is great weather for starting.

my friends and i run in 20f to 30f all the time. just hit the motor with a hairdryer or heatgun for a couple of mins then take it outside and start it up before motor cools off (don't get hasty and forget to turn on your radio).

we haven't had any problems starting yet. well except for bad glowplugs.

maybe you should check the glow plug. might be starting to go bad
