RE: Broken or normal?
Motors are meant to do that, they have something to do with electricity thingo maboby
and it should be fine, but if its seriously full on sparking, then check with it at your lhs |
RE: Broken or normal?
cool, thanks guys ;) in such an idiot

RE: Broken or normal?
all cars do it. ever look inside the vents on a drill when you use it? it sparks to. all electric motors like these spark, its totally normal. Now if there are sparks like SHOOTING out through the vents and such, THEN you have a problem. Otherwise, its fine.

i have an indor heli and that practially lights up!

RE: Broken or normal?
Wow, Never thought so many people can be wrong on one topic. Go to a hobby shop, have them Tru the motor and instal new brushes, this sparking you see is calling "arcing", when a motor arcs, it causes excess heat, excess heat causes a loss in performance. get it cut, get new brushes and have them break in the brushes. When the arcing comes back, do it again.

RE: Broken or normal?

RE: Broken or normal?
lmao

RE: Broken or normal?
brand new motors never went through a break in process, without that break in process, the brushes will always arc until you replace the brishes and properly brake it in.
